I would download a fresh copy of your videocard driver and leave it somewhere easy to find then uninstall all your directx files as well as all your amd drivers then disconnect your network so windows cant download a default driver on reboot, run a disk clean up on your hard drive and make sure you select for it to delete temp and system files no longer in use then do a reboot of your system and reinstall your new copy of amd drivers and run the game and let it reinstall directx and hopefully that will work,Ī side note on that power supply i would still not rule that out as being the problem it is a very low end psu and uses Chinese teapo capacitors that are very unreliable and very unlikely can sustain a solid 700watts if you just recently bought it i would consider returning it for a corsair,evga,antec or seasonic Psu if cleaning up your drivers does not work. Note: i did verify integrity of game cache, got 2 files missing, steam downloaded those 2 files but got a Black screen freeze I don't think this is a video card/drivers problem but the game itself, any suggestions guys? thank you. Drivers were updated when i first ran with 5850 and uninstalled/ pc restarted/installed/ pc restarted when i upgraded to 5970.
I came here after swapping my 5970 with 5850 still keeping those 8 GB of ram (to check if 5970 is faulty), but got a BSOD. All of these crashes come on startup,after skipping first screen of some written nonsense with "space". Yesterday i have upgraded to 5970 HD and 8 gb of Crucial ballistix 1600Mhz ram, tried runing witcher for like 4 times, 1 time got a BSOD 0x116, 3 other times got a black screen freeze of death.
I have HD 5850 and 4 gb of ram, i did knew that minimum is 6 gb but tried to run it just in case it works. Hello fellow gamers, as you can see from the title, i'am getting annoyed by the witcher 3.
